EAG Spotlight: Kenny Nadler

Our Spotlight is Kenny Nadler! Kenny Nadler is a Vice President, Accounting at EAG with 23+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, Kenny primarily worked in the upstream sector, where he focused on financial reporting, system implementations for both public and private equity backed companies, as well as merger and acquisition activities. Kenny also worked for a consulting firm in the audit practice, managed large teams, and handled several process improvement projects.

In his employee spotlight, Kenny shares his life motto, keys to success, as well as who inspires him! Read his full story below –

1. How would you describe EAG?

EAG is the crossroads of the oil and gas and IT industries. We combine the best of both worlds in an effort to provide clients with a seamless experience that utilizes both technology and industry knowledge.

2. What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?

EAG provides a unique opportunity for experienced oil and gas professionals to utilize their skills across multiple clients and software platforms. For anyone who enjoys a good challenge and has a problem solving mentality, EAG is the place for you.

3. What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?

Relationships within the oil and gas industry are critical for success.

4. What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?

I enjoy spending time with family, travelling and playing basketball. My favorite places to visit are Maui, New Orleans (home) and the Florida coast.

5. Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

Like most Accountants, I am organized and strive for organization, but I love to dive into a huge mess to figure out a way to correct issues, and provide solutions to prevent such issues from happening again.

6. How do you balance your career with other priorities?

Planning is the key to success. Today’s environment is challenging and has multiple avenues that command our attention. I choose what I want to focus on and dedicate time and attention to that; that way I ensure I meet my goals.

7. Who or what inspires you and why?

Colleagues who are able to implement innovative solutions to reduce the amount of time required to execute repetitive processes while providing the same level of useful information inspire me every day!

8. What is your life motto or favorite quote?

“Proper preparation prevents poor performance”.

9.  What’s your superpower? (What are you confident in knowing that you’re good at)

I consistently focus on ways to improve efficiency when performing tasks. This mindset applies to how I utilize accounting systems for processing and reporting.
