EAG Spotlight: Doug Hendrickson

EAG’s spotlight is Doug Hendrickson! Doug is a Support Analyst III, IT Outsourcing at EAG with 5+ years of experience in solution engineering and technical support. He is responsible for troubleshooting the IT network for clients, managing infrastructure issues, performing security audits for environments, and creating automated scripting to increase production and efficiency. Additionally, Doug has been a key player in delivering several implementation projects.

He has been the primary point of contact in disaster recovery scenarios, including ransomware events, and consistently owns IT issues from start to finish, while maintaining consistent client communication. 1. How would you describe EAG?

EAG offers an innovative and challenging environment with a fantastic group of people. We pride ourselves on being a leading force in our industry, constantly pushing boundaries and delivering outstanding results for our clients.

 

2. What has been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?

I was able to create a custom IT automation process providing a security update that patched many devices, saving the team hundreds of hours of work.

 

3. What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?

The environment is fast-paced and continually changing, but you’ll always have a team of experts to lean on for guidance and support. Be humble, ask questions, and be willing to learn.

 

4. What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?

I’ve been working on my first IT client onboarding process which has provided new challenges in finding creative and best fit solutions for the client. I have delivered best practices and set the EAG team and client up for success moving forward.

 

5. What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?

I’ve been learning to play Pickleball! I’m also always planning my next travel destination; next up is New Zealand!

 

6. Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I’m a huge NBA fan and can dunk a basketball.

 

7. How do you balance your career with other priorities?

I’m able to unplug and recharge during PTO and weekends by planning and organizing my projects, communicating with my team, and prioritizing vital tasks to solve first. This allows me to not be stressed about what hasn’t been done while I’m disconnecting.

 

8. Who or what inspires you and why?

My brother has overcome so many challenges and is a constant positive force in my life. The support he’s provided me inspires me to always keep working on improving myself.

 

9. What is your life motto or favorite quote?

“Not all who wander are lost.”

 

10. What’s your superpower, or what is something you know you’re good at?

My superpower is always asking the question, (and answering) “how can I automate this”? I strive to eliminate the tedious manual tasks of IT to provide the most efficient solutions for my team and our clients.
