EAG Spotlight: Alex Edler

Our spotlight is Alex Edler! Alex Edler is a Manager, Consulting Services at EAG with 7+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, as well as the commercial construction industry. While in oil and gas, Alex has handled Upstream Revenue, Severance Tax Reporting, Division Orders, Materials Inventory, Purchase Orders, and more. Throughout her career she has been the technical expert responsible for requirements gathering and designing several key modules for major ERPs. 

Alex is well-versed in key industry software, including relational database languages like SQL. Her deep industry experience combined with her ability to provide innovative solutions makes her an excellent addition to the team. 1. How would you describe EAG?

EAG is a wonderful team environment that is focused on building people up! Also, everyone at EAG is truly passionate about our clients’ success. 

  

2. What has been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?

During a recent implementation, I was able to do a complete revenue tie out between the ERP that the client was transitioning from to the new ERP. The tie out process was a critical milestone during implementation and greatly impacted client confidence during go-live. 

 

3. What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?

Being driven to learn and having a willingness to ask your team members questions will help ensure you’re a successful EAG employee. 

 

4. What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?

I’m passionate about SQL and data analytics, and had an opportunity to learn some new SQL functions while I was assisting with 1099 work. 

 

5. What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?

I love to travel, and am always in the process of planning our next big trip to new exotic locations! 

 

6. Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I love Formula 1! During the season I spend time reading up on the technical and mechanical innovations each team brings to the next race. 

 

7. How do you balance your career with other priorities?

This can be a challenge for me because I am so passionate about my work. However, I make it a point to disconnect and eat dinner with my husband and walk our two dogs every day. 

 

8. Who or what inspires you and why?

My clients’ success inspires me. If I’ve managed to make their jobs even a little bit easier through an implementation, that inspires me to work even harder for them. 

 

9. What is your life motto or favorite quote?

“It’s all about teamwork!” I have many clients that would vouch that I say that at LEAST once a call usually because no conversion or project would be successful without collaboration. 

 

10. What’s your superpower? (What are you confident in knowing that you’re good at)

I LOVE a good tie out! Any chance I get to build a tie out and research any variances, I will!
