As the Senior Director of Software Engineering at EAG, Scott is responsible for application delivery using the software industry’s best-practices and methodologies. He oversees the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from product design to release management. His team manages development, quality, automation, and integration for EAG’s clients. Scott is an Agile evangelist who uses metrics and data to drive decision making, resulting in operationally efficient software factories and high-performing teams.
Scott joined EAG in 2022, bringing 17+ years of expertise and leadership experience in software engineering. As a software executive, he has held prominent leadership roles in the industry, most recently with W Energy Software and insightsoftware. Scott’s focus on operations, quality, and efficiency has led to market-leading products and rapid organizational growth.
Scott graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. He played baseball for the top-ranked Fighting Irish and competed in the College World Series.
Scott began his career as a software engineer and grew into positions of leadership quickly after. He has held various senior leadership positions in the software industry at W Energy Software, insightsoftware, and Global Software. In each role, Scott instilled best-practices across the engineering functions resulting in improvements in operational efficiency and software quality. He also brings a significant amount of experience in M&A, having led or participated in technical diligence, strategy, and post-merger integrations for 16 private equity deals.
Scott and his wife enjoy supporting their three children’s passions by traveling all over the region for various soccer, baseball, basketball, and music events. As a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, he is an avid golfer and can be found on the golf course in his free time. Scott also stays active in his community by participating in various fundraising and speaking engagements for Duke Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy V Foundation.
