As a Vice President and the Chief Information Officer, Jeff drives the overall IT strategy and vision for EAG, and leads the IT Outsourcing business unit. Jeff leverages technology and innovation to streamline infrastructure and secure our clients most important assets, their data. His team delivers CIO advisory services, cyber security strategy and implementation, IT due diligence, acquisition and divestiture support, cloud and infrastructure design, managed IT services, networking, and more.
Jeff has provided executive advisory services for numerous upstream and midstream clients, in addition to serving in roles such as interim CIO and Acquisition Program Lead for startup organizations, established E&P’s, as well as Fortune 500 companies. Through Jeff’s leadership and vision, he has recruited and developed multi-faceted teams, defined robust cyber security monitoring and detection programs, and deployed innovative technology solutions which reduce organization’s IT cost and G&A overhead.
Jeff Hutchens is a Vice President and the Chief Information Officer at EAG Inc. with 28+ years of experience as an IT professional. He’s worked in various industries, including the government (US Army), manufacturing, high-tech, and the oil and gas industry. Over the last 15 years, Jeff has held various positions in the oil and gas industry working at Encana/Ovintiv, Antero Resources, EQT, in addition to his leadership role at EAG.
Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Northern Colorado, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
Prior to EAG, Jeff held various senior leadership positions in the oil and gas industry working at EnCana/Ovintiv, Antero Resources, and EQT. He led 15+ asset integration and divestiture projects and served in a Program Manager role for an IT integration which created the largest natural gas producer and 4th largest gathering system in the United States. Jeff has maintained accountability for IT budgets ranging from $10MM to $60MM per annum.
Jeff enjoys camping, skiing, and traveling with his family. He also enjoys getting involved with his children’s activities and is a Boy Scout leader and youth wrestling coach.
