Brenda Bacon is a Controller in the Back-Office Outsourcing group at EAG. She is responsible for all areas of Accounting including Revenue, Joint Interest Billing (JIB), Accounts Payable and general accounting for certain EAG clients. She ensures accurate and timely work outputs are delivered to clients as promised.
Brenda Bacon is a Controller within the Back-Office Outsourcing group at EAG with 25+ years of industry experience. She has worked her way through most areas of oil and gas accounting including operational accounting and financial reporting. Brenda has a proven track record of building and training energetic teams focused on process improvement and efficiency.
Brenda earned a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Missouri Southern State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to joining EAG, Brenda spent 19 years at Samson Resources Company. While she worked in numerous areas of accounting at Samson, she led an operational accounting team of up to 60 individuals through software conversions, SOX implementations, and numerous process improvement projects. In the last six years of her career, she served as the Controller of Armor Energy, LLC where she led all back-office functions including accounting, treasury, human resources, division order, and legal.
Brenda enjoys traveling and everything sports related. Her travels often lead her to major league baseball stadiums and national parks. She is active in her church and with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
